Hello, I’m Marilyn Vredevelt, Founder and President of the cross-stitch design company, Stoney Creek Collection, Inc. As a little girl I would sit and watch in awe while my Mother and Grandmother stitched. They taught me the wonderful joys of stitching as their mothers did before them.

As a teenager, crafts were my first love. I began collecting a needlework stash “to die for” (just ask the stitchers who attended the Murder Mystery Dinners at the Creative Arts & Textiles Show) and I couldn’t wait to share them with you!

In 1979, I “answered my calling” and began my needlework career by owning and operating a small retail needlework store. It was a great way to access all of the best stitching supplies and techniques available to share them with other stitchers. In fact, I founded Stoney Creek in order to create and introduce you to the kind new and exciting cross stitch designs and needlework you’ve been waiting for!

Of course, at Stoney Creek, we want stitchers like you everywhere to have easy access to any needlework item available. Not all independent stores are willing or able to carry all of the needlework items. If you can't find a product locally, we don't want you to go without it!

For cross-stitch patterns, books, leaflets, kits, floss, fabric, or almost anything in between, count on Marilyn’s to bring you the latest and greatest specialty threads and embellishments to enhance the finished design and increase your stitching pleasure!
